Curricular Resources

Are you a teacher looking for curricular resources to teach students about disability experiences and inclusion, accessibility, and disability pride? Since the passage of the Canada Accessibility Act in 2019, are you hoping to find classroom materials that engage such conversations in the K-12 curricula possible? If so, check out our Resources section in which Wingspan dis/artists worked alongside licensed teachers developing lesson plans for their residencies in classrooms across the country that are grade and subject-level specific. We also have films that you may show in your classrooms to tackle the stereotypes and transform them into proactive ways of performing inclusion culturally and educationally.

Films

Dear Teacher, Educational Leader or Student,

Wingspan has developed a number of films meant to serve as public pedagogy as exemplars of inclusion. We encourage you to download them and use them in your classrooms and daily lives.

You can also watch the films on our dedicated YouTube Channel: Wingspan Collaborative.

Please feel to use and share wildly.

This is a call to perform inclusion artfully.

Wingspan, PI,

Prof. Leslie G. Roman
